Every cool spot the camera flags gets confirmed with a handheld moisture meter — either a pin meter that reads moisture at a specific depth, or a pinless sensor for a quick pass over painted or finished surfaces. Skipping that step is how a false positive, like a cold spot from an AC duct running behind the wall or direct sun heating one side of an exterior wall, ends up on a drying plan that didn't need to be there.

Why the scan matters more in an older Snell Isle home than a newer build
